Revision Control

Floor Plan Compare Slider

Compare revisions side-by-side with an interactive slider that highlights spatial adjustments.

What is the floor plan compare slider?

The floor plan compare slider puts two drawing revisions in the same frame and wipes between them with a draggable handle. Walls that moved, rooms that were split and boundaries that shifted appear as you drag, so a spatial change is confirmed visually in seconds instead of by overlaying prints.

The problem it prevents

Comparing revisions traditionally means plotting both versions, holding them against a window, or flipping between two PDFs. Small moves such as a demised wall shifted 300mm, or a corridor reallocated to a tenant, are exactly the changes that get missed, and they are the ones that change billable area.

How it works

  • Two posted revisions of the same floor are loaded from the drawing history as aligned raster tiles.
  • A slider handle wipes between revision A and revision B in place, so geometry stays registered at the same scale and origin.
  • Side-by-side and overlay modes are both available; overlay is used to spot boundary drift, side-by-side to read text IDs.
  • Changed spaces carry legend colour coding, so recalculated areas are visible without opening a report.

What you get

Eliminates manual overlaying of paper prints or PDF drawing comparisons, and gives facility managers a defensible visual record of what changed between revisions.
