Annex & Mapping Error Correction
Visual mapping tools to correct mistakenly included properties and annexes.
What is the annex & mapping error correction?
Annex and mapping correction tools let a technician visually detach a property, annex or wing that was wrongly rolled into a building record. The corrected boundary immediately flows through to area totals, so valuations, utility splits and lease areas stop carrying floor space the organisation does not occupy.
The problem it prevents
A neighbouring structure captured inside the wrong building record, a sports centre or annex included in the main envelope, inflates every downstream number. Tax valuation, utility cost allocation and lease area all read high, and the error is invisible in a spreadsheet because the geometry is what is wrong.
How it works
- The technician selects the mis-included polylines directly on the plan rather than editing database rows.
- Detached geometry is reassigned to the correct property or removed from the reportable envelope.
- Area recalculation runs on commit and the affected spaces are colour coded as changed.
- The correction is recorded as its own revision, so the previous overstated figure remains auditable.
What you get
Prevents inflated tax valuations, over-allocated utility costs and incorrect lease areas caused by property mapping errors.
