Revision Control

Document Revision Timeline

A comprehensive history log tracking every floor plan revision since inception.

What is the document revision timeline?

The document revision timeline keeps every posted version of a floor plan from the first drawing forward. Each entry records who posted it, when, and what area changed, giving facility teams a continuous audit trail for building envelope changes, boundary shifts and square footage adjustments.

The problem it prevents

When drawing history lives in folders named final, final-2 and final-rev-C, nobody can prove which version was current in a given quarter. Lease audits, tax appeals and cost allocation disputes all need that answer, and reconstructing it after the fact is expensive guesswork.

How it works

  • Every commit to the platform creates an immutable revision record for the affected floor.
  • The record stores the drawing, the resulting space areas, and the delta against the previous revision.
  • Any two points on the timeline can be fed straight into the compare slider.
  • Because history is complete from inception, gross and rentable area can be reported as of any date.

What you get

Creates an audit trail for building envelope changes, boundary shifts and square footage adjustments that stands up to external review.
