Unidentified Space Flag
Flag closed polylines on the space layer with no room text identifier.
What is the unidentified space flag?
The unidentified space flag marks every closed polyline on the space layer that carries no room text identifier, using an orange legend state. Undesignated shafts, mechanical voids and overlooked rooms are surfaced at upload rather than quietly missing from the space inventory.
The problem it prevents
A space with no ID cannot be linked, so it disappears from the inventory while still existing in the building. Shafts, mechanical rooms and small service spaces are the usual casualties, and their absence understates area and hides assets from maintenance.
How it works
- Closed polylines on the space layer are checked for an enclosed room text identifier.
- Those without one are flagged orange in the legend and listed for review.
- The technician either assigns an ID or classifies the space as non-reportable.
- Nothing unidentified is silently dropped from the link.
What you get
Alerts the technician to undesignated shafts, mechanical voids and overlooked rooms before they vanish from the inventory.
