Level 1 Linking & Floors Scale Audit

Measure gross area via the Floors template and run a scale sanity check.

What is the level 1 linking & floors scale audit?

Level 1 linking measures gross floor area through the Floors template and runs a scale sanity check on the result. If the drawing's units are wrong, a millimetre drawing read as feet for example, the mismatch is caught at upload before any unit error reaches the space database.

The problem it prevents

Unit errors are the most destructive import failure because nothing looks broken. The plan renders, the workflow completes, and the area is out by orders of magnitude. That number then flows into reporting, chargeback and valuation before anyone questions it.

How it works

  • Gross area is measured from the Floors template as the first linking step.
  • The measured figure is compared against expected magnitude for a floor of that footprint.
  • Implausible results stop the link rather than silently proceeding.
  • Passing the check establishes the scale baseline every space measurement inherits.

What you get

Acts as a firewall preventing unit and scale errors from polluting the space database.
