Polyline Audit Utility
Scan for duplicate and overlapping geometry and closed boundaries missing space IDs.
What is the polyline audit utility?
The polyline audit utility scans the space layer for duplicate lines, overlapping shapes and closed boundaries that carry no room text identifier. Each finding is listed and zoomable, so a technician resolves double-counted and unmapped areas before the drawing is ever linked to the space database.
The problem it prevents
Two polylines drawn on top of each other look like one room and count as two. A closed boundary with no Text ID counts as nothing and leaves a real room missing from the database. Both errors are invisible at normal zoom and both corrupt reported square footage.
How it works
- Every closed polyline on the space layer is tested for duplicate and overlapping partners.
- Boundaries with no matching room text identifier are flagged separately as unidentified.
- Findings are listed with a click-to-zoom camera so each one is inspected in context.
- The audit is re-runnable, so a cleaned drawing can be confirmed clean before commit.
What you get
Prevents double-counted square footage and rooms left unmapped in the space database.
